I read an interesting quote today from the Transformational Presence.org daily affirmations. Rumi wrote it. He's a 13th century Persian theologian according to Wikipedia. "Your way begins at the other side. Become the sky. Take an axe to the prison wall. Escape. Walk out like someone suddenly born into color. Do it now." I thought about the song, "Live Like You Were Dying" which talks about doing fun things as if you're dying that you wouldn't want to do otherwise because you think you will hurt yourself. Or love in the most vulnerable way you possibly can because it no longer matters about your fear of getting hurt in return. Having fun is about self-love and showing Love is the best we can be, and both provide their own shields. So, maybe it's not so dangerous to have the most fun or be the most vulnerable - we'll be safe; we'll be the best we can be.
