Eckhart Tolle is my new favorite author because i just finished his book, "A New Earth, Awakening to Your life's Purpose". He says, "The modalities of awakened doing are acceptance, enjoyment, and enthusiasm". He's saying we want to strive to be in one of these states at all times, enthusiasm being the highest. The closer you are to enthusiasm in all your thoughts, words and deeds, the closer you are to the highest vibrational frequency you can reach, as a human.
When relating this to my life, I remember being pretty unhappy when I was operating in "victim mode". Then I discovered a job that matched who I thought I was a bit better, disabilities advocate and adult trainer, and found I accepted my lot in life better. i began to realize i could make choices if i wanted to - Goodbye Victim! Eventually I became more skilled and then some innate talents emerged, so I actually began enjoying my chosen occupation. It wasn't until I could retire from a work life where i had to make a certain amount of money to survive (thanks Uncle Sam) that I became downright enthusiastic about what i was doing. I had an opportunity to create my own curriculum worthy of actually changing the way people show up to support their loved ones having difficult times. Now . . . that's the work i want to do forever! i'm having fun and when i get a little nervous about presenting my course, I know that getting the message across is what's important, not whether the students like me or not. Enthusiasm comes when we know everything is clicking into place. Love to all, Deb B.
